New Venture Competition 2014 - 2nd Announcement for Latin America

This will be the fifth year for the Harvard Business School Alumni New Venture Competition (NVC), which is run by the HBS Alumni Relations Office and the HBS Rock Center for Entrepreneurship.
As part of this global competition, the HBS Club of Brazil, in conjunction with the Harvard Club of Argentina, is hosting the competition for the entire Latin America Region.
The regional winner will then compete against the winners from other regions (Northern California, New York, India, etc.) in the global NVC and receive additional prizes, including:
- A chance to reach over 80,000 HBS alumni via the alumni website and up to $75,000 in cash prizes at the global finals
- A direct invitation from HBS Alumni Angels of Brazil, to present his company for an evaluation for further angel investment
- A special coaching and advice section from the previous NVC LA regional winners from 2011 to 2013
In order to encourage local participation,
the Latin America organizing team will NOT be charging the $100 dollar
entrance fee. Therefore, this year the participation in the NVC will be
free of charge for Latin America (this offer applies to all current
participant as well as, to people that are “still considering” and will
most likely join).
There is still time to enter! Deadline ends on February 28th.
If you are interested in entering the contest, the team/project must:
• Have at least one HBS grad on the executive team
• Have raised less than $1.5 million capital/debt
• Have less than $2 million in annual revenue
• Have one team member registered as a member of the HBSAB
• Be based within New England
• Submit application by February 28th
• Submit a 90 second pitch video
• Submit a one-page executive summary and a 10 pages or less business plan
